The Histopathology Department at Babcock University Teaching Hospital (BUTH) has a rich history of providing top-quality healthcare services. Since its establishment in September 2013, the department has continued to grow and expand its services to better serve the community.

Our department is staffed with highly trained and experienced medical professionals who are dedicated to providing accurate and timely diagnostic services. From histopathological and cytopathological services to autopsy and coronal services, we offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic services to our patients.

In addition to our diagnostic services, we also offer teaching and medical research services to students and medical professionals. Our consultants and lecturers are committed to providing excellent training and mentorship to medical students and residents, as well as conducting research that advances the field of histopathology.

Our team consists of two consultants, two laboratory scientists, and one principal laboratory scientist, as well as a Laboratory attendant, an office assistant, and an administrative assistant. We also have a resident doctor who works directly with our consultants to provide the best possible care for our patients.
